When it comes to repairing dents and dings, not all methods are created equal. At Landers Collision Repair, we take pride in using techniques that not only restore your vehicle’s appearance—but also protect its long-term health. One of the standout tools in our arsenal? The glue-pulling system.
What Is Glue-Pulling?
Traditionally, repairing a dent involved grinding down through the paint and factory e-coat to attach a stud or slide hammer. While effective in pulling out damage, this method removes the protective coatings your manufacturer applied—leaving the metal underneath exposed to moisture, rust, and corrosion.
Glue-pulling works differently. Instead of grinding the panel, we apply a specialized adhesive tab directly to the painted surface. The dent is gently pulled out without ever breaking through the e-coat layer underneath.
Why Does That Matter?
The e-coat is your vehicle’s first line of defense against rust. It’s a factory-applied layer that keeps moisture and corrosion at bay. When it’s compromised, so is the long-term integrity of the panel.
By using glue-pulling, we preserve that protective layer, helping you avoid hidden rust issues down the road. Once the dent is pulled, we sand the area lightly and apply a smooth layer of panel filler—creating a seamless finish that bonds cleanly and safely.
